Infused with atmospheric cinematography, experimental techniques, archival footage,
documentary interviews, and ethereal narration, Like Moths to Light is a one-of-a-kind
exploration of dreams. Gala Hernández López employs such innovative and genre-bending style
that this film moves seamlessly from visual poem to documentary. And that seems to be the point
— that the true genre of this film is dreamlike: surreal while feeling real, disparate but cohesive,
hallucinatory yet utterly engaging.
