Synopsis
Leonardo Van Dijl’s debut feature Julie Keeps Quiet never judges the young woman whose lifelong dream to become a tennis star comes perilously close to shattering. Julie (a brilliantly fierce and athletic Tessa Van den Broeck) is a student at the elite Les Hirondelles Tennis Academy in Belgium. She is about to take the next step to apply for the Belgian Tennis Federation as a junior player when her coach, Jeremy (Laurent Caron) is implicated in a scandal regarding the suicide of his former star player. The academy opens an investigation into Jeremy’s relationship with the sixteen-year-old junior champion Aline, and all eyes turn to Julie for answers. As Jeremy’s current protégé, Julie must know something. Yet Julie remains silent – both unable and unwilling to speak about him.
Tessa Van den Broeck who plays Julie in the film, is a ranked junior tennis Player in Belgium and an actress.
